January brought the start of something I hope we can continue. Lilly got dressed up and headed out with her Daddy on their Daddy Daughter Date. They went to see Tangled, and loved it! She and Rey came back happy and told us all about the movie. While they were gone Andrew and I played games and got some time together as well, but I didn't want him left out of outing either. So, at the next available time he and I got to have a Mother Son Date ourselves. After the glowing reviews, he wanted to see the same movie, so we went off to see Tangled as well. Really cute movie! It's better than cute actually, but it's so full of cuteness that the word can't help but be used to describe it. The Shepherds highly recommend this movie for everyone!
We haven't gotten the chance yet, but hopefully February will still have some room for some Mother Daughter and Father Son outings.
The best memories I have are of my "daddy daughter dates". They were at least once a month and once a year he would let me fake being sick and miss school to take me shopping! HA! What more could a girl want! It never mattered what we did our where he took me....all that mattered is on those days...I knew I was the MOST important person in his eyes. You MUST make this a tradition, and when Mina gets older, give her her own day too! :)
